Our Curriculum

Christ the King provides its pupils with an exciting, engaging curriculum which is underpinned by our Mission Statement ‘Christ at the heart of all we do’.

We want our curriculum to develop into confident, curious learners who can work independently and cooperatively with those around them.

Our curriculum embeds a clear progression of knowledge and skills, it is a curriculum that encourages children to develop skills in resilience, perseverance, and recognises the value of working hard to achieve success.

It is a curriculum that promotes high aspirations for all and ensures children leave our school with lasting memories - memories that will give them a passion for lifelong learning.

We value the importance of the local community and home relationships and will provide opportunities for parents, carers and visitors to share school experiences through whole school presentations, assemblies, celebrations and links with a wider community.

We also encourage the children to complete work linked to their curriculum topics with their families. In Autumn 1 an amazing 154 children completed Personal Home Learning challenges. Simply AMAZING!
